LSU to hire former USF DL Coach Earl Lane

LSU plans on announcing new DL Coach Earl Lane today in a press conference. Lane spent 9 seasons with the Bulls before departing for Wisconsin this past Sunday. Earl had accepted the job at Wisconsin Sunday, but when LSU came along decided to change his mind.

Earl on the decision to leave Wisconsin for LSU:
"It was a very tough decision," Lane said. "I changed my mind. I talked to some coaches I know and to some people I trust, and they told me that LSU was the better place for me. And like I said both offers came at about the same time. I appreciate everything about Wisconsin, but I'm really excited about being at LSU."
