LSU Men ranked No. 25 in AP and Coaches' Poll; Women move to #2 in AP

The LSU Tigers jumped into the polls this week, despite losing to No. 7 Florida 71-62 on Saturday. LSU (16-7) will need to go 2-0 this week to stay in the rankings. The Tigers host Mississippi State at home on Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) and are at Auburn on Saturday.

LSU should be able to handle both of these teams pretty easily. Mississippi State is having a down year at 12-11 overall, and well, Auburn is just wondering when football season starts.

Lady Tiger News:

LSU's Ashley Thomas
The Lady Tigers defeated two ranked teams this past week. The Lady Tigers were very impressive in their wins against No. 5 ranked Tennessee and the No. 13 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. LSU is a close second to Duke, who picked up 23 first place votes compared to LSU's 20. LSU looks to continue their winning ways at Florida on Thursday with a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
