2006 Recruiting Class

Well, it's finally over. LSU completed their top 10 recruiting class when 5-star RB Keiland Williams faxed in his papers February 3. What caused Williams to second guess himself on signing day after already committing to LSU just a few weeks earlier, nobody knows.

Friday, Keiland made his decision, "LSU is a great program and I like the coaches," said Williams. "This was a family decision and I prayed about it last night and felt that LSU was the best place for me. It's home."

Some other notable soon to be LSU Tigers are the following:

5-Star DB Jai Eugene.
Jai, who originally committed to Michigan on January 7, decided to stay home and be a LSU Tiger. Jai Eugene on staying home, "My little boy...I just started realizing what is important to me," Eugene said. "My family and my little boy and the distance is a big factor.

"I love my little boy and I hate to be far away from him because I know I am a big influence on him."

5-Star DT Al Woods

4-Star WR Chris Mitchell

4-Star WR Jared Mitchell

4-Star WR Ricky Dickson

4-Star TE Richard Dickson

4-Star RB Richard Murphy

4-Star RB Charles Scott

4-Star DT Charles Deas

4-Star DB Shomari Clemons

LSU finished ranked number 7 in recruiting for 2006. Look for Miles to continue bringing in these top recruiting classes year after year.
